Sleepy Hollow Hayride - Newtown, PA

It's October... and so warm it almost doesn't feel like Halloween time. As I have for the past several years, each weekend I help put on a show for people in the Halloween spirit at Sleepy Hollow Hayride in Newtown, PA. I help manage the zombies, witches, and ghouls that haunt the hayride and field of fright.

Henrietta, the fire breathing dragon has been one of my favorite scenes on the hayride for my entire time at Sleepy Hollow. This year she is terrorizing a hayride wagon instead of the a school bus like she did in the past. Henrietta is unique to Sleepy Hollow, and enormous... plus did I mention she breaths fire?!?!

One of the newer characters to haunt Newtown is this awesome specter. He's a hit even with the other terrors of the farm. Here the specter poses for a photo with some of the other scarers.

I was having fun trying to photograph the fire twirler. I really like how this photo turned out. It's hard to balance the motion blur with the shutter speed needed to capture enough light. I think it turned out pretty well.

  1. I'm tired of warm Autumn weather .It's like a toxic stew of leaves and insects.
