Naked Webstor... I feel like everyone had a bunch of Masters of the Universe figures missing their armor in the 80's. It sure is easy to find bare figures at the flea market today. I've had this photo of Webstor in my "blog" folder for a long time. So long in fact I bought another Webstor figure, and this time he has his armor. Now this guy hangs out on the shelf in my living room with all the action figures that I let visiting children play with. If you are a collector and you have family or friends with little kids you need a pile of stuff they can play with. This guy is a darker blue Skeletor with a different head.

Batman - DC Universe Infinite Heroes
I don't know about anyone else, but I really liked the DC Universe Infinite Heroes line. Here is a few shot of Batman from that line. I know that in addition to this dark blue version with the large bat logo there was also a light blue version with the yellow and black oval logo on his chest. These guys are around 3" tall and feature about 9 points of articulation.
Batman's cape is very stiff and kind of limits what you can do with him. For their small size many of the figures have really nice paint details.

Juggernaut - X-Men vs Street Fighter
The unstoppable Juggernaut looks really tough in this action figure incarnation. Originally packaged with a Chun Li figure as part of the X-Men vs Street Fighter line. I remember seeing these figures in the store after I was kind of over the Toy Biz X-Men line. I really wanted to get the Chun Li figure, but I was at that age where I still thought toys were cool... but wasn't really buying any.
I picked up this Juggernaut at a flea market years ago. He's wearing his normal red armor and has enormous gorilla-like arms. I think he might share some tooling with the figure from the light up weapon series of X-Men, but I'm not positive. I know this torso/head is different because the one from that series has a removable helmet

I bought a 2011 Nissan Frontier (Pick-Up) today, my only Black Friday shopping. Normally I got out and hit up Target and Toys R Us but since the truck had to be replaced due to the accident that was the priority. Now I'm going to have to watch my spending a little more carefully for a little while. I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving.

Hordak - Vintage MOTU
Hordak, leader of the Evil Horde, was designed to be a new villain for He-Man but landed the role of being the big bad guy for He-Man's sister She-Ra in the cartoon. I had Hordak as a kid and loved him, but I sold off all my original Masters of the Universe toys at one point. Since I started recollecting, I had a Hordak but he was missing the cape. I saw this one at a toy show cheap so I grabbed him. I am thinking of giving the other a custom Filmation cartoon paint job.
I have his white Horde Crossbow already and thing one came with his bat/shield accessory. His armor and paint is really clean and in great shape on this particular figure. Happy to finally be able to display a complete figure on my shelf.

Wheeler - Captain Planet
Wheeler was the American member of the Planeteers and spoke with a New York accent. He had the power of fire and was the second element in order to call Captain Planet. The action figure did a great job of capturing the likeness of the cartoon character. Wheeler has reddish hair and wears a leather coat, a Planetters t-shirt, gray pants, and sneakers. Molded onto his right had his his fire ring.
The only accessory that Wheeler originally came with was a role-playing fire ring for a child to wear. He also has one built in action feature. If you pull the lever on his back his chest sparks giving the illusion that he's using his ring's powers.

I was in a car accident last night that probably totaled my truck. I was coming back from the office where we film many of the SEO Toy Review videos and a guy made a left hand turn right in front of me. So I'm kind of bummed out that I'm probably going to have to buy a new vehicle and all the hassle that goes along with this right around this time of year. The good news, both myself and the other driver are fine and will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving in a few days.

Auto Morphin Power Rangers Red & Blue
I know I previously posted about Auto Morphin Rangers Jason and Billy a while back, but I recently picked up duplicates. The white on their chest get beat up pretty easily and when I found these guys in a dollar bin at a toy show I had to grab them.
I wanted to check to see if they were in better shape that the samples in my collection, but they were pretty much the same. I ended up giving them to my friend's son who recently got into the Power Rangers. The Auto Morphin or Head Flipping Rangers are classic action figures.

Power Arm Terminator - Kenner
Power Arm Terminator is one of the T2 variants of the title character of an R rated movie turned into a toy line for kids. This figure looks a fair amount like Arnold in the second Terminator film. He's got his back leather vest (was a jacket in the film) and grenade ammo belt. This Terminator sports a lot of battle damage on his face and one arm.
Power Arm Terminator's action feature is that he has a removable arm that can be changed with a couple of other robotic appendages. His "normal" arm features a rod that can be extended from his fist that kind of looks like he's giving us the finger. I can't figure out what the point of this feature was. It reminds me of Robocop's data spike.

Colonial Viper - Battlestar Galactica
The Colonial Viper was the main fighters used by the good guys on the sci-fi show Battlestar Galactica. These cool three finned ships with long front ends were always a cool design to me. This vintage ship was picked up at a yard sale and came from a collector's sale. The stickers are all in nice shape and the ship is very white.
The Colonial Viper includes an opening cockpit, a small pilot figures, and a little spring-loaded missile that shoots out of the nose of the ship. As legend has it a little kid the the late seventies choked on the missile from one f these and died. This resulted in Kenner scrapping the Rocket Firing Boba Fett figure.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord - Imaginext
I'm pretty proud of the video I created for the Imaginext Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord. I think the adventure at the begging of the video turned out pretty fun. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise - Black Series
My first Black Series figure... Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise. This figure perfectly captures the look of Harrison Ford in Star Wars: A New Hope. Check out my video review below.

Nintendo Power Collection
So showing off a collection of Nintendo Power Magazines isn't exactly action figure adventures like, but there's so much nostalgia in this box of magazines I just had to post it. My friends Ryan and Paul who run Too Many Games dig through the box and kid of relive the highlights of Nintendo Power.
A co-worker recently gave me a bunch of 80's stuff that belonged to her son. We'll be showing off these attic treasures through out the winter.

Steelwill - Silverhawks
Steelwill, the strong guy, from Silverhawks is another recent addition to my collection. As a little kid I only owned Bluegrass from this series. Later I got Steelwill and Stealhart form a yard sale. I remember playing with them in later Elementary school. I don't know what happened to them. I picked this guy up at a toy show a few weeks ago.
The hard thing about collecting Silverhawks is that the flesh colored paint on them always flakes off the chrome finish. Plus the chrome finish can get scratched up. I think Steelwill is a decent sample... not perfect. He may end up only being a place holder in my collection. We shall see.
Along with the cool chrome finish, Silverhawks also have an action feature that causes their arms (and wings) to spread out when you squeeze their legs. This figures feature works great. I checked it before I bought him.
Steelwill's wings are a soft sparkly fabric piece that's attached to his back and clipped to his wrists. I've always been a big fan of the line and the cartoon. I need to track down Steelhart, I'm trying to get the old gang back together.

In the cartoon when their wings would come out all the Silverhawk's faces would be covered by a faceplate. This was not worked into the action figures. I think from a design stand point I'm glad they didn't ruin the head sculpts with the goody plates. I do think they should have released all these guys in another wave with different heads that represented them with the face shield on.

White Ranger - Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
A couple weekends ago I picked up the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers White Ranger figure. Tommy originally came packaged with the Tiger Zord. This figure is highly articulated and comes equipped with chest armor and his sword Saba.
The White Ranger shares many parts with other Ranger figures released in the 90's. His belt buckle looks more like the other Ranger's morpher than the actual belt buckle worn by the White Ranger. This is actually due to the White Ranger coming from a different season of the original Japanese show than the other Rangers.
The White Ranger's chest armor is removable and Saba can be holstered on his side. I really like the details on his white tiger helmet. Now I got to get my hands on a Green Ranger figure from the same line.

Luke Skywalker on Tauntaun Cork Board
I recently picked up this odd ball piece of licensed merchandise. It's a small cork board featuring Luke Skywalker on a Tauntaun. The crazy part is that he's wielding a red lightsaber. Don't you remember that part of Star Wars? It's the best part.
This item hung in all the coolest kid's bedrooms around the release of the Empire Strikes Back. I can only assume that they figured Luke needed a saber to be identified by kids who hadn't seen the film yet. New costume, kids might not recognize Luke. Why red? They already used to much gray.

This little cork board was made in 1980 by Mantop Cork. The art work is screen printed on the cork.
