Snake Armor He-Man, Battle Armor King Hsss, and Ninjor - MOTUC

This month Matty Collector released three great Masters of the Universe Classics Figure. Snake Armor He-Man, Battle Armor King Hsss, and Ninja Warrior (Ninjor). Check out our video review below and the additional photos posted below.

Ninja Warrior aka Ninjor is an awesome evil ninja. He's dressed in black with red details. He comes with two different head, one masked and the other unmasked. Ninja Warrior also comes with several cool accessories including a sword, bow, quiver, nunchuck, and belt.

Battle Armor King Hsss is based on the 200x (MYP) cartoon. He's got some great new details and comes with a staff and shield. I really like the details on his belt. King Hsss can come apart and works with the earlier version of King Hsss's snake torso. There will be a 200x style Snake torso released later.

Here we have Snake Armor He-Man next to King Hsss with the Snake Torso. He-Man has some really neat looking armor with a pincer weapon as the Electronic Power Sword as seen in the 200x cartoon. Most exciting is his surfer hair style from he rocked about a decade ago.

Here is my custom 200x He-Man and Battle Cat. Both of these were made just with simple part swaps that don't permanently damage any parts. No custom paint or anything.

Battle Cat is is the classics beast wearing Battle Lion's armor.

He-Man is a King Grayskull figure with the Snake Armor He-Man head, original classics He-Man shield & ax, and the Electronic Power Sword from the weapons pack.

Dino-Riders Stegosaurus

The Dino-Riders Stegosaurus is one of the largest and coolest dinosaur toys I've ever owned. There were many cool toy lines from my childhood that I only ever owned a few figures from. While others I was obsessed with and had almost everything. Dino-Riders were really cool, but a line I only had a few toys from. My best friend growing up, Derek, got a duplicate of the Stego one year for his birthday and instead of exchanging it he gave me the 2nd one. It blow me away... it was a concept I couldn't wrap my young brain around. Giving away this awesome toy instead of exchanging it for another awesome toy. Derek happened to have almost all the Dino-Riders including all the big ones with the electronic walking features.

The Stegosaurus is so incredibly well detailed. Just look at the awesome skin texture. Combined with his cool Motorized Walking Action this dino was ready for riding. He's at least twice, if not three times bigger than any of the other Dino-Rider toys I owned. He also came with two figures (Tark & Vega). Both of which are missing along with my MASK figures ever since I moved. It's been 5 years... I've given up hope of finding them in a box somewhere.

Here is the Stegosaurus' bio card that my mom clipped of his package for me back in the day.

Check out the Stego all armored up and ready for battle. He comes with a large silver piece of armor that fits over his plates. Attached to the armor are some guns, missiles, and pods for the riders.

He also came with blue back leg guard plus an additional spike piece for his tail. Unfortunately the years in storage since my childhood haven't been to kind to Mr. Stego's accessories. Some of the tabs and pins on Dino-Riders toys were very small. One of the red missiles and one of the gray and red quad guns have broken tabs.

Damian Wayne as Robin

Ever since Damian Wayne was introduced into the comic universe I've loved him. His time playing Robin under Dick Grayson as Batman was comic gold. I really enjoy the idea of a young kid who actually has the training to back up being a super hero sidekick. A couple months ago I picked up two different figure based on this Robin. The first is from DC Collectibles (DC Direct) and is based on the animated film Son of Batman. The second Robin comes from Matty Collector and was part of the DC Signature Collection (DC Universe Classics).

Both Robins are dressed in red tunics with yellow and black capes. They are based on the exact same concept so it's fun to see two different takes on the character. One came with a sword and the other a batarang. Check out my video review below for more details.

Power Rangers Green Ranger and Megaforce Battle Sets

As part of the Power Rangers Super Megaforce toy line a new nicely articulated Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger Figure was released. I'm a sucker for the MMPR characters, and I loved the Green Rangers uniform so I had to pick him up.

 He comes with his Dragon Dagger for calling his Zord.

I really like the attention to detail on the helmet sculpt as well as the Morpher on his belt. Check it out, there's the Dragon Zord coin.

In addition to reviewing the Green Ranger figure, the embedded video also highlights the Megaforce Battle Sets. This is two sets of weapons the individual rangers use in Megaforce, but that can be combined to form a super weapon.

Two different views of the weapons combined. Blue weapon can shoot spring-loaded missiles and the red weapon makes sounds. Each weapon can hold their power card.

Below you can see the individual weapons. Sake Ax (black), Dragon Sword (red), Shark Blowgun (blue), Tiger Claw (yellow), and Phoenix Shot (pink - mostly white ha ha).

Action Figure Adventures moves YouTube Channel

Guess what? Baby Skeletor and I are moving our YouTube channel. All new AFA videos will now be hosted on SEO Toy Review instead of Obscene Newg. The old content will stay where it is, but all our new reviews will be found at our new home. This change will hopefully guarantee more regular videos from Action Figure Adventures.

We are celebrating the move with a massive update of three videos all at once! We've got the GI Joe Collectors Club Repeater & Psych-Out. There is also a video showing off a cool Green Power Ranger Figure and some MegaForce Role-Play weapons. The third video compares two different versions of Damian Wayne as Robin from DC Comics.

Ash - ReAction Alien

Yet another ReAction figure from the Alien line. This guy was one of the figures sculpted but never released by Kenner in the 70's. Now all the fans of Sci Fi can have this interesting (no spoilers) character all for their own.

 Ash is dressed in a light blue jumpsuit. He has long white sleeves underneath as well as white shoes. The only real paint app details on this figure is his red patch on his shoulder.

Ash comes with a cool gray scanner accessory. It is nicely detailed on both sides. It's not super exciting like a gun, but sometimes figures need useful items as accessories.

He's a group shot of the Nostromo Crew. Ash is scanning Kane's space suit for contaminants. Dallas and Ripley look on in suspense. Ash is an important character, but probably the lease exciting figure in this wave.

Cobra Stun Box Art - GI Joe

Today we are taking a look at the amazing box art for the original Cobra Stun. A while back I posted that a good friend of mine game me a huge collection of boxes from his childhood toys. Some of these boxes were in amazing shape and others had gotten damp and damaged over the years in storage.

This is the a photo of the box art that actually appears on the side panel of the box. I just love how they show this thing decked out with Cobra personel. Motor-Viper (the included figure) if pictured in the driver's seat. At the same time Dr. Mindbender and a Crimson Guard are manning the main cannons. In the back of the vehicle you can see Tele-Viper guarding the rear. The Stun was one of the few vehicles in the line that would have this type of rear-facing defense. I also like how accurately they represent the toy in the art work. Notice the foot pegs are there on the rear fenders.

 Here is the actual box. You can see it got damp and stuck to another package. I cut off the side flaps that were undamaged and saved them. I'm considering getting a collage picture frame to display the smaller box art that I salvaged off some of the really messed up boxes.

Here  is a close up of one of the smaller images on the back of the box that show off that you can place 11 figures on the Stun. I don't know how the guys on the fenders would stay on in real life, but I did push this thing around my basement many times with it all loaded up like this.

The last photo here shows off the back of the package. You can see this side features a photo of the vehicles and has all it's parts labled. The file card has been clipped form the box and some of the side flaps are stuck down.

Baron Zemo - Secret Wars

I'm a fan of the old Marvel Secret Wars toys. They had simple sculpts and paint apps that rubbed off easily, but in the 80's they were all we had and pretty awesome. I picked up Baron Zemo loose at a local comic shop a couple months back.  He almost looks like Spider-Man in a weird outfit. He has the red mask and torso with lines on them. He's also wearing a pink singlet with yellow gloves and boots.

Baron Zemo was released in 1984 as part of the Secret Wars toys. He came with a yellow belt, black blaster, silver shield, and inserts for the shield. I unfortunately don't have any of his accessories, but since his paint was so clean I had to grab him. Other than that I'm not real familiar with the character.

Penguin from Batman Returns - DC Multiverse

I finally got a chance to post about this Batman Returns Penguin figure. He's part of the DC Multiverse line that includes movie and video game versions of DC heroes and villains. This is Danny DeVito as the Penguin.

He really looks incredible. So much like he did in the film. He turned out really cool. He's got a ton of details with that tie and the folds in his suit. The figure looks a little dusty in the photos, sorry he laid around for a while before I photographed him.

The Penguin comes with one accessory. It's a black umbrella with a brown handle. I really like the sculpt work on his hands that looks just like the flipper hands he had in the film.

Major Bludd, BATs, Snow Job and more - GI Joe Kre-O

I've been collecting the GI Joe Blind Bag Kre-O mini-figures on and off since they came out. I only have a few of the building block sets from this series since I'm mainly focusing on the figures. Some I've bought and others were given to me or traded to me by some generous blogger friends.

Major Bludd - dressed in his brown and black uniform. I love all the details on his chest. They included the green patch on his normal arm and gave him some nice details on the armored (or robotic arm?)

 He comes with a cool gun and a backpack with extra rockets to by fired by the gun.

Next up is Snow Job, a character I didn't care for to much as a kid, but later really learned to like. I got into GI Joe a little late so the '85 and '86 Joes who were a little more buff and detailed became my preferred team members.

Snow Job is dressed in his white snow suit and comes with skis, poles, a backpack, and a gun.

The Kre-O version of one of my all time favorite GI Joe figures...the Battle Android Trooper. I loved the original BAT figure. I don't think this guys in quite as cool, but they did a nice job.

He comes with great details printed on his torso and legs as well as a bunch of cool accessories. I know he kind of looks like his head is on fire, but it's really the only way to store his flamethrower accessory.

Ripper was probably the Dreadnok with the best sculpt out of the original three. Some of that didn't translate that well into Kre-O form.

His mohawk  is a little funny looking. Ripper comes with a pincher/jaws of life tool ever weirder than his vintage figure. I does articulate which is cool. He also comes with a Kre-O block that is decoed to look like a can of grape soda.







Last but not least is Low Light. This GIJoe "night spotter" (sniper) comes with a backpack, rifle, and MRE (Meal Ready to Eat). This guy really captures the original figure. I love the knit cap.
