Today's post is three of my favorite monsters from the second series of Monsters in My Pocket. This toy line was a collection of small rubbery monsters molded in a single color. Monsters ranged from classic mythological creatures to urban legends to eastern gods.
The Loch Ness Monster, the Minotaur, and a Gargoyle. Nessy is a Scottish Urban Legend. The Minotaur lived in the Labyrinth in Greek Mythology, and Gargoyles were sculpted on European Churches and other buildings for protection.
I should be going for these. But for some reason I don't.
ReplyDeleteThey were a blast when I was a kid. I didn't know to many kids that collected them back in the day, and I rarely see any at flea markets today.
DeleteLove the colors going on here with these. I think the colored Monsters work better than the colored Muscle Men who need to be pink in color almost always.
ReplyDeleteI never had any Monsters in my pockets. It was always MUSCLE or Z-Bots. I'd like to pick some up if I ever see any.
