GI Jeff - Community GI Joe episode

Community had a great GI Joe based episode. It made fun of the old animated series as well as the vintage commercials. The animation was very impressive. It looked jut like the old Sunbow series, but the animation was better. The show featured vehicles and characters throughout the history of the GI Joe  3 34" toyline. The members of the Community cast were a sub team of GI Joe called the Mutineers.

The main character Jeff was called Wingman and was somewhat of a Duke rip off. He was armed with a winged jet pack that is modeled off one of the modern GI Joe accessories. Jeff was passed out and was trapped in an dream state that contained both a cartoon layer and a live action toy commercial layer. It's kind of like Inception.

Some of the voices were the original voice actors, including Michael Bell as Duke and Bill Ratner as Flint. Others were very far off from the originals.

If you get a chance to check it out it's worth seeing even if you haven't watched Community before. The episode even included a Knowing is Half the Battle PSA
